Bilsart presents Zeynep Gürler’s exhibition entitled “There” between May 15 – May 25, 2024.

Within the scope of Gürler’s project called “There”, which she designed based on the question of what kind of a part of the ‘nature’ we live in, she presents a section of her walking experience in Düzce since September 2023, following the traces of the relationships established with plants, and the distances between us and ‘nature’. And reflects the artist’s intellectual process on the possibilities of contact.

In the exhibition, which includes a series of drawings called Shells as well as the artist’s videos and photographs, she compares these forms, which he embodies on the ways of existence in precarious times, with the photographs of her ‘entangled bank’ with the intertwined stories of the geography in which her lives. She takes us through blurred borders with the photographs showing both the nature and human sides of destruction.

ABOUT ZEYNEP GÜRLER

Zeynep Gürler was born in Ankara in 1988. She graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2010. She graduated from the master’s program at the Fine Arts Institute of the same university, Department of Painting, in 2013, and from the art proficiency program in 2021. The artist, who participated in various group exhibitions at domestic and foreign, has been working as assistant professor at Düzce University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Department of Painting since 2017, and continues her works in her studio.
